SUICIDE SIX -- WHAT A RIDE!
Two Suicide Six employees who were treated for breast cancer inspired an inaugural event that raised awareness and money for breast cancer research at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. For $20, members of the Suicide Six ski patrol gave thrilling toboggan rides down the mountain, a trip usually reserved for skiers injured on the mountain. The exciting ride was a treat for both kids and adults. In only one week the ski patrol organized the event and raised more that $8500. Many thanks to the staff at Suicide Six for their efforts.
RACE DAY AT CANNON MOUNTAIN
Another ski resort, Cannon Mountain, hosted the Jimmy Hann Memorial Race, a race held in memory of long-time Cannon instructor Jimmy Hann, who was treated at Norris Cotton Cancer Center and lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2006. For $10, participants raced down the mountain, logging their best run against the clock. Prizes were awarded to the winners and a grand prize raffle was drawn from all racers. The event has raised more than $2000 over two years for cancer research at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Thank you, Cannon Mountain, for hosting this annual event.
