About the Friends
The Friends is dedicated to supporting the services provided by Norris Cotton Cancer Center, a world-renowned cancer treatment and research facility affiliated with Dartmouth Medical School and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Volunteers raise money, produce events, conduct community education programs and support patient services in an effort to find a cure for cancer.
The Friends began in 1981. Over the 26 years we've been supporting the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, more than $6.5 million has been raised to support cancer research. This money helps fund world-class research, state-of-the-art equipment, critical education programs and innovative clinical trials that help save lives of cancer patients all over the world. The Friends also supports patient services programs, helping to ease the way for the patient and their families as they move through the vagaries of treatment.
