The Eastman Benefit for Norris Cotton Cancer Center was extremely succesful this year, with a sold out golf tournament and well attended auction and dessert party the night before. Altogether more than $57,000 was raised by this group!
For the past 25 year, Eastman has supported the Cancer Center by hosting a golf tournament. Funds raised during this event have provided Norris Cotton with important unrestricted funds. Unrestricted dollars offer the leadership of Norris Cotton Cancer Center the opportunity to support research and patient support programs they feel benefit our community and our community's health issues the most.
Carol Moses, one of the event's organizers, praised Bistro Nouveau at Eastman for the catering. "Bistro Nouveau outdid themselves at the dessert party, the grilled lunch at The Turn, and a fabulous array of hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail party after the tournament," Moses said.
The winning team in the Men's/Mixed Division was Brian Burke, Bob Fairweather, Steve Fraidstern and Roger Woodworth. In the Women's Division, the winning team was Maria Burke, Jeanne Gaffney, Eileen Holmes and Cindy Ransom. Men's/Mixed Division Second Place team was Rick Marasa, Eric Warren, Christine Nassor and George Nassor; and Third Palce was Ed Jenik, Jan Jenik, Lynelle Reney and Michael Moscaritolo.
Thanks go to the large committee of volunteers who helped to make this event happen and all those who supported this effort.
